Gift idea: Book ends
Makes a good gift for: Anyone who has books!
Anyone who has books (or magazines or anything else roughly book-shaped that might be stored in a bookcase) can use a cute pair of bookends. Bookends are also a nice gift to give someone who works in an office - so they can have a little something with some personality, but also functionality away from home too. From quotation marks to mermaids, here are some unique ones I have found online:
8 More Weeks!
Gift idea: Initial mugs
Makes a good gift for: Anyone
For my birthday a couple years ago I got an “S” initial mug. I love it – its big and obviously “my mug” – except Jonathon kept swiping it as a coffee mug (he drinks lots of coffee). So I had to get him his own “J” initial mug. Now we have a cute matching pair. The mugs we have are from West Elm, but they don’t carry them anymore (at least not on-line) but there are lots of other initial mugs out there:
Anthropologie Monogrammed Mug - $6.00
Target Monogram Mug - $15.99
Gift idea: Throw blanket
Makes a good gift for: Mom, dad, grandma or grandpa, anyone
who likes to decorate and/or cuddle up under a nice blanket.
This blanket from West Elm comes in a bunch of colors, and at $29.00, would make a great gift for multiple people on your Christmas list:
West Elm Favorite Throw - 29.00
For the young, or the young at heart, these poufy blankets from Garnet Hill comes in three festive patterns - I love the woody with the Christmas tree on top:
Printed Poufy Throw - $78.00
For a very classic look, this washable wool plaid throw blanket from L.L. Bean really screams classic Christmas, especially in the red and green plaid (but it comes in other colors of plaid too). This blanket reminds me of cuddling up on my Grampa's easy chair under his scratchy wool blanket - but this one comes without the scratch:
L.L. Bean's Washable Wool Throw, Plaid - $89.00
